Hey Vancouver, turn off your engines and join the festivities! Yes, Sunday June 19th is Father’s Day, but it’s also Car-Free Day. Each year since 2008, several blocks in four Vancouver neighbourhoods will shut down the streets for a day and host community-led performances and activities.
Since Car-Free Day festivals are community-driven and powered by volunteers, each neighbourhood’s events will be different…So you definitely have to check them all out!

Take a look at what each location is planning this year! – Kitsilano, Main Street, West End and Commercial Drive.
Some of these locations are still looking for volunteers as well (there are perks and raffle draws for volunteers ;] ).
